Pinwheels: La Petite

I'm making good on my first goal this year, with a finished pinwheels quilt. I have to admit that I really love this quilt. The colored wheels are so vibrant.
One of my greatest friends is have her 3rd boy in June and this quilt will go to her (hooray for being ahead of the game).
Pinwheels are so addicting that I used the leftover to make myself and Americana table runner.

Oh and a couple extra shots that I just couldn't not share. Cutest ever!

(Right after this she grab a chunk of dirt and ate it- so, 3/22 first taste of dirt).

Rockin' the Smockin'

Finally I am posting a picture of the smocking I'm working on. This is the collar of what will eventually be a Bishop dress, similar to this one. I love doing the stitching, it really transforms the dress. My only concern is that the pattern I chose is busier than I had originally planned, and I hope it doesn't overpower my little one. All I need to do now is smock a simple pattern into the sleeves and then I'll be able to sew it into a dress!
